so on sunday, charlene and i are sitting in the kitchen as elaine come over and say "the do you think this green banana will taste good? i watn to eat it, but it's not ripe. oh well i dont care, i'll eat it anyways" as both of us say "whatever it'sup to you, you're eating it" elaine triess to peel the banana.

you see, according to elaine, this bunch of bananas had been sitting in the dining room for a week now, and they were still green.

anyways, as elaine started to peel, we found that there was something amiss. it didnt peel quite the same way a regular banana should peal. the tin outermost wax layer came off witht he stem. but that's it.  as charlene and i stared at her with wide eyes, elaine was like ?wtf" and started chipping away parts of the peel. the peel made a  crisp sound when little pieces of the peel chipped off.

elaine tried to redeem herself by saying "the banana didnt look this green in the dining room...."

finally, elaine decided to look for a peeler. (you know the ones you use for vegitables or apples or someting) but she couldnt find one. so she used a knife and cut off big layers of banana peel.

as we were laughing and joking that after all her efforts half of the banana would fall in the sink, suddenly, elaines crys of frustration became silent. we asked what was wrong. she said "it made a weird sound when it broke..." all of our faces turned into the face o.O. and we began split the banan into parts for each of us to have a piece wish a nice consisant sound one would make when biting into a juicy apple.

after the comotion, sophie runs in from the tv room where she was previously watching a basketball game, wonder what we were all yelling about. we explained to here as she o.O-ed and handed her a piece.

i squeed my little segment of the banana, and it kinda felt like styrofoam.... we were like  "uh mmmmm..... eat it! someone try it!" so on three all of us took a nibble of it.

charlene, "this deffinately doesnt taste like a banana...."
elaine "what the heck is this?"
me "it kinda tastes like a cucumber..."

they all bite into the banana again and agree.

sophie asked, "what goes with cucumber?"
i replyed, "soy sauce."
as charlene said, "everything goes with soy sauce."

so i decided to drip some soy sauce on my banana. i took a bite. it was.... interesting... not bad.. but interesting, and proceeded to throw it away.

::note::

major props if anyone can tell the sound you use to describe a crisp break, like one for a cucumber or something.
